A warm, neutral and trustworthy community for Afghans in Belgium.
Who we are
Afghan Limburg is a Belgian community for Afghans living in Belgium. We support people who face difficulties with finding work, training, documents, administration and communication with government services. We listen, guide and refer people to the correct official services. Together strong, together forward.
Afghans in Belgium may face difficulties with language, documents, job search, diploma recognition, school questions, social support and government communication. Guidance in Dutch, English, Dari and Pashto makes information easier to understand and lowers barriers.
We are not a government office, but we help you find the right path.
Afghan Limburg is not a government office, embassy, law firm or official immigration authority. We provide general guidance and referrals to official services. For legal decisions, residence matters, asylum procedures or official applications, always contact the competent authority or a qualified professional.

Community story
Afghan Limburg grew from the need to support Afghans in Limburg and Belgium more clearly. Many people receive letters they do not understand, do not know where to find work or training, or feel alone when dealing with official services. Afghan Limburg wants to be a safe place where people are heard and helped step by step.

Affiliated with Internationaal Comité vzw
Afghan Limburg is part of a wider socio-cultural network. We are affiliated with Internationaal Comité vzw (IC), an independent, democratically organised and multicultural federation that brings together, supports and represents associations of people with a migration background in Flanders and Brussels.
IC strengthens communities by supporting volunteers, leaders and member associations with knowledge, guidance, training and networks. The federation builds bridges between associations, local authorities, policymakers and social partners. This matches our mission: helping Afghans in Limburg participate more fully, find reliable information and make their voices heard respectfully.

Through this affiliation, Afghan Limburg stays connected to a professional network focused on participation, inclusion, equal opportunities, culture, education, work, wellbeing and strong communities. Afghan Limburg adds clear and human explanations on every page. We help visitors understand what is possible, which steps they can take themselves and when official services or recognised professionals are needed.
